Professor at Juntendo University since April 2021, and formerly Associate Professor at the Graduate School of Medicine, the University of Tokyo (2019–2021). A biologist and life scientist specializing in medicine, and a developer of CUBIC technology and next-generation mouse genetics. Expertise includes molecular and cellular biology, mouse genetics, histology, tissue clearing, and bioimaging such as light-sheet and confocal microscopy. Research interests span cell cycle and cancer, proteolysis, metabolism, biological rhythms, single-cell biology, tissue clearing, 3D tissue imaging and labeling, image informatics, systems biology, sleep biology, and aging-related diseases.
